DJ LOVEGROVE
www.myspace.com/djlovegrove

A leading figure in the
Baltimore/DC underground since 1989, DJ LoveGrove is the founder of Sonic Soul
Productions, a one time owner of Sonar Lounge and General Manager
of Mosaic, and currently Managing Partner of Sky Lounge in Federal Hill.
In the early 90's, DJ LoveGrove developed the CloudWatch chill-out
events and CD mix series, which featured ambient and down-tempo artists and
gained international critical acclaim. The success of CloudWatch led to two DJ
tours of the UK, playing for The Big Chill and Mixmaster Morris' Nubient club
session, and gigs throughout North America, as he also became a regular on the
East Coast rave circuit and the Baltimore / DC club scene.
Under his direction, Sonic Soul Productions became one of Baltimore's leading promoters of club-culture, focusing on down-tempo and deep house nights with world renowned DJs. Sonic Soul promoted live music events at DC's 9:30 Club as well as Fletcher's in Baltimore, doing shows with such renowned artists as Saint Etienne, Jamiroquai, Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Stereolab, Cold Cut, DJ Shadow, Tricky, Herbaliser, Kid Koala, Amon Tobin, Roots Manuva, and Ben Watt of Everything But The Girl.
Sonic Soul weekly club nights were held at Baltimore's The Spot, GoodLove Bar, Sky Lounge, and Mosaic. The success of Baltimore promotions helped make LoveGrove a regular at DC's Buzz and Club Five, and lead to him becoming the General Manager of Mosaic and now, Sky Lounge.
As a DJ, LoveGrove has moved on from his ambient roots and is now championing a jazzy, Latin influenced brand of organic deep house, and he was voted Baltimore's "Best DJ" by Baltimore Magazine ('03) and The Baltimore City Paper's Best of Baltimore Reader's Poll ('02).
ADAM AUBURN
www.myspace.com/adamauburn

House music is planted deep in the soul of DJ Adam Auburn, and he has dedicated every ounce of his being to push the music forward. Pegged as one of the country's hottest young DJs, Adam has learned the craft of blending various styles into one set. When he plays, you can expect to hear music that drips with funk, soul, dub, disco, and afro-latin vibes- all mixed seamlessly and with boundless energy. Adam is firmly rooted in the riches of house music history, yet neatly poised to create a fresh and innovative sound.
In 2002, Adam moved to Baltimore and linked up with Sonic Soul Productions, a promotional crew producing quality music events since 1992. The collaboration of Auburn and Sonic Soul founder, LG Concannon (aka DJ LoveGrove), quickly became a partnership with unlimited potential, sharing a likeminded vision consisting of equal parts music & business. The pair's Guest DJ events and weekly residencies in the DC/Baltimore area, most notably at Mosaic, have given Adam the opportunity to play alongside such legends as Miguel Migs, Mark Farina, Kerri Chandler, Tortured Soul, Marques Wyatt, and many more. Sonic Soul has become recognized as a driving force in the East Coast dance scene.
During the WMC 2005, Adam met Large Music President Jeff Craven -- the two of them hit it off immediately. Upon hearing Adam spin, Jeff Craven tagged Auburn as one of the rising stars of house music and brought Adam on board to assist in taking Large Music to the next plateau.
In January of 2006, Adam entered a worldwide mix competition held by the premier digital house music website, Traxsource.com. After listening to hundreds upon hundreds of mixes from across the globe, competition judges Brian Tappert, John Julius Knight, & Jask (each of famed Soulfuric Recordings) selected Auburn's mix entitled, 'Believe in Baltimore', as the winner. The mix went on to be syndicated on Cyberjamz radio and numerous radio stations worldwide, sparking a whirlwind of international acclaim for the Baltimore native.
"Adam has a unique style." says Craven. "He is technically flawless yet still has an element of spontaneity when he plays. It will be a thrill to see how far Adam is going to go once the word is out on his ability."
