:: REVIEW ::

It's been a few weeks now since the close of the WMC, and we've finally recovered a week of music, business, and debauchery... at least for the most part.

Reaching capacity as early as 4:30pm, the crowd was mixed with industry heads from across the board, and energetic partyfolk who were in it just to have a good time. The weather was beautiful, finally! The music was rockin from LA to Chicago, from Baltimore to San Francisco, from to London to Miami, and the vibe was thru the roof -- pure insanity!

Both Evan and Parrish of the Groove Junkies pulled me aside, individually, to say that while they played some smashing events at this year's WMC -- including Bobby and Steve's party at the Clevelander, Kinky Malinki, Swank @ Deep, and many more -- Afternoon Delight was their favorite party of the week.

One thing I did notice was not one DJ that was on the bill left after their set. Most of them (I'm not gonna name names lol) were front and center, hootin and hollerin on the dance floor!

People went absolutely nuts when we handed out the popsicles... I've never seen something so simple take a party to the next level like that. It seemed to give everyone a reason to look over to the person next to them and share a little laugh. The WMC can be intense and wearing -- there are few moments that are just simple, laid back fun. To me, this was one of those moments.

See you all in 2008, popsicles in hand!
